The photo below can be found in the NIMH image bank with the description: “A Vickers Carden Loyd carrier that was disabled during the battles for Borger-Buinen on April 12, 1945, belonging to the equipment of the 10th Dragoons Regiment of the 1st Polish Armoured Division.”
According to the book Poolse stijders over de Hondsrug, this carrier was damaged during the fighting in which Kowalczyk got killed.
The archive also includes a photo of a grave with the designation Borger-Buinen. It is not immediately clear whether this is possibly his grave or that of Stanisław Bieliniec.
