During a training flight over the North Sea in his fighter, Lieutenant Kubica crashes his Mustang FB383 into the plane of Lieutenant Mieczysław Franciszek Beringer, Mustang KH540. Both die. Kubica’s body washes up in the Netherlands and is buried in Makkum. Beringer is located in Epping – Essex – Great Britain.
